Fabian Eisenreich, born in 1988, studied chemistry at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where he completed his bachelor and master thesis in the group of Professor Stefan Hecht while being supported during his studies by the Deutschlandstipendium. In the same research group in December 2014, he started work on his PhD thesis about light-regulated polymerizations, focusing on photoswitchable catalysts. During his doctorate, he spent a four-month research period in the group of Professor Craig Hawker at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he contributed to the development of a novel 3D printing method.
