Dr. Sven Ehlert
Sven Ehlert, born in 1982, received his doctoral degree in 2014 from the University of Rostock. Since 2014 he has been employee of Photonion GmbH, who offer customized solutions, products and services in the field of photoionization mass spectrometry. Furthermore, he is guest scientist at the University of Rostock in the Dept. of Analytical Chemistry.
Sven Ehlert is an active member of German Chemical Society (GDCh), German Society of Mass Spectrometry (DGMS) and chair of the photoionization interest group of the American Society of Mass Spectrometry (ASMS).
His key research activity is the analysis of industrial processes from sampling to data evaluation strategies, e.g. coffee roasting or the analysis of smoking products.
In academic research, his focus expands to sampling technologies for traces of security-relevant substances.
