Anna Christina R. Ngo

Anna Christina R. Ngo, born in 1990, studied Microbiology at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degree. She did the research for her master’s thesis with a focus on bioremediation, under the supervision of Dr. Gina R. Dedeles and the scholarship of the Department of Science and Technology. She is currently a PhD student of Prof. Dr. Dirk Tischler at the group of Microbial Biotechnology, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany, and is a scholar of Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst (KAAD).

Focus

Anna Christina R. Ngo is interested on working with azoreductases from actinobacteria. She is also working on different enzymes and finding ways to improve enzyme function and substrate scope.
